Where To Test started with a two-month trip across five countries and one question: where is this city’s equivalent of 56 Dean Street, Tangerine or Sydney Sexual Health Centre — and can I get seen there as a visitor?

Finding a clinic name is the easy part. The hard questions are whether it’s welcoming, whether it can assess symptoms and treat them rather than only test, whether it takes non-residents, whether you can book without a local phone number or insurance, and what it will cost. Existing directories rarely answer those, and when they do, they rarely say when they last checked.

So this directory is small on purpose: a few clinics per city, researched from original sources, with every fact labelled and dated, and an honest “not yet confirmed” wherever we haven’t checked.
